Northern Vietnam, 2025 is a photographic series created between October and November 2025, combining landscapes, portraits, and scenes of everyday life. Through a distinctly artistic approach, it seeks to capture the diversity of the environments that define northern Vietnam and to offer a broad overview of the landscapes that shapes this region. This series was born from a desire to celebrate a rural area where nature, sometimes wild, sometimes shaped by humans, is full of surprises as impressive as they are varied.
It also pays tribute to Vietnamese women, who are omnipresent in every profession, both traditional and contemporary, and whose strength, rigor, and dedication maintain an essential balance within the country. The project seeks to reveal the beauty behind this daily effort. The overall composition alternates between subjective and documentary perspectives celebrating the connection between people and their environment.
The project’s main ambition was to create a cohesive visual narrative, where each photo is a work of art on its own, while also contributing to a larger whole. This required careful creative work, guided by a precise color palette and a consistent graphic style, in order to bring everything together without falling into monotony.
The result is a succession of tableaux in which portraits and landscapes interact, creating a smooth and harmonious visual story. This series is as much an invitation to discover the rural areas surrounding Hanoi as it is a sensitive tribute to those who bring them to life.
